My name is Alison King and I’m addicted to parkruns.
I used to hear all about parkrun on the Marathon Talk podcast and would get FOMO.
One weekend I took myself along to a parkrun in Auckland (Barry Curtis parkrun) and that planted the seed to set one up in my own town.
That was back in January 2016. Since then I’ve run (and walked) at parkruns in four countries and met many other enthusiastic parkrunners.
I’ve run more than 150 parkruns at more than 50 different events.
